This Privacy Policy explains how Tekigi Football collects, uses, protects, and discloses information when you use the Tekigi Football platform.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use Tekigi Football, we may collect:

• Account information, including your name, email address, authentication information, and account status.
• Pool profile information, including your pool nickname and other pool-specific preferences.
• Football pool activity, including picks, tiebreaker predictions, participation status, standings-related information, and other activity necessary to operate a pool.
• Content you choose to submit through available platform features, such as messages or posts.
• A mobile phone number if you voluntarily add one for optional SMS features.
• Your time zone when used to deliver reminders at an appropriate local time.
• Technical, diagnostic, and security information generated as necessary to operate, protect, troubleshoot, and improve the service.

How we use information

We use information to:

• Create and maintain player accounts.
• Operate private football pools and maintain player participation.
• Save, validate, display, and score football picks.
• Provide schedules, standings, pool communications, and other requested features.
• Send account, security, and official pool email, plus optional SMS communications requested by players.
• Prevent abuse, investigate problems, protect accounts, and maintain platform security.
• Administer account, privacy, and deletion requests.
• Maintain and improve Tekigi Football.

Personal information sharing

Tekigi Football does not sell or rent your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

We may disclose limited personal information to service providers only as necessary to operate, host, secure, authenticate, support, and communicate through Tekigi Football.

We may also preserve or disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect users, prevent abuse, enforce platform rules, or protect the security and integrity of the service.

Service providers

Tekigi Football uses third-party service providers for functions such as cloud hosting, databases, authentication, application deployment, email delivery, SMS verification and delivery, and related technical services.

These providers receive information only as reasonably necessary to perform services on behalf of Tekigi Football and are not authorized by Tekigi Football to use that information for their own marketing purposes.

Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent

Providing a mobile phone number is optional. A player who wants text pick reminders must first verify ownership of the mobile number and then separately opt in to reminders.

Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in information are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes.

Mobile information may be provided to service providers only as necessary to verify phone ownership, process opt-out requests, and deliver requested text messages.

Text pick reminders

Players who explicitly opt in may receive at most one reminder per football pick group and only if the player is still missing a game pick or applicable quarter tiebreaker total.

Reminders are normally sent approximately 60 minutes before the pick group locks. If a pick group locks before 9:00 AM in the player's local time zone, the reminder may instead be sent the evening before.

A pick group is a set of football games that share the same pick submission deadline. Most football weeks have two pick groups, although special schedules may create additional pick groups.

Complete pick groups receive no reminder. Message frequency therefore varies based on the football schedule and whether a player's picks are complete. Message and data rates may apply.

Your SMS choices

SMS reminders are optional and are not required to create or use a Tekigi Football account.

Players may disable reminders from their Account page or reply STOP to cancel SMS messages. Reply HELP for help.

Data retention and account deletion

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate Tekigi Football, maintain appropriate account and pool records, protect the service, comply with applicable requirements, and resolve disputes.

Signed-in users can review available account-data and deletion controls from the Account section of Tekigi Football.

Some information may be retained when reasonably necessary for security, recordkeeping, legal compliance, fraud prevention, or the integrity of historical pool results.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information and account access.

No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security. Players are also responsible for protecting their account credentials and promptly reporting suspected unauthorized access.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Tekigi Football evolves. The effective date above identifies the current version.
